This poster summarizes research about breadth and intensity of youth activity involvement. Breadth and intensity were found to be seperable facets, and breadth had a stronger relationship with developmental features than intensity. Breadth (the number of activities) may provide opportunities to develop diverse skills and build bigger social supports.
This poster was presented at the Society for Research on Adolescence conference (San Francisco, March 2006).
